Three Eyes National Park and Nature Reserve Cachón de la Rubia Considered to be one of the most beautiful underground rivers in the Dominican Republic, Three Eyes National Park offers you a subterranean boat ride through it in which you find yourself in the middle of a natural limestone cave that is home to a series of three ancient lakes.
One of the lakes is named “Aguas Azufradas”, with this one you can immediately recognize it by the distinguishing smell of sulfur. Before heading down the stairs, visitors can take a little walk around the fourth eye from above enjoying the lush and calm greenness that surrounds the area.
Along with a guided tour detailing the surroundings, these caves offer deeper insights into the pre-colonial and ancestral origins of the Dominican Republic.
Before lunch we will have a quick stop at the National Botanical Garden where you will enjoy a train ride that will take you around the entire garden with some stop time at the Japanese Garden. After lunch you will visit the Nature Reserve Cachón de la Rubia for free time enjoying the breeze under a lovely tree or bathing in the multiple springs that originate in the area.

You can start your tour enjoying The Bungee Trampoline Crazy Jumper and then feeling adrenaline to the highest level with the Zipline Mega Splash. Visitors can explore about 200 meters on footpaths that wind through the galleries of the caves that are very significant in Taino origin mythology.
You will find hundreds of petroglyphs, pictographs, and engravings by Taínos Indians, who inhabited these caves between 800 and 500 years ago. Despite this, diggings have shown archeological and human remains from between 4000 and 5000 years ago. Also three different kinds of bats live in these natural spaces, being the most characteristic fauna inside the cave.

Los Haitises National Park is one of the crown jewels of the Dominican Republic’s national park system. This is an immense reserve full of caves, Taino pictographs, humid forests, and hundreds of species of birds, many of them endemic.
All along the park you will spot and hear majestic birds in flight over the extensive landscape. The park can be explored by boat, hike around the rainforest to appreciate the flora up close, or kayak along its lush mangrove system while basking in the plain purity of nature.

The first stop will be in the rum museum. The rum museum contains in a pleasant exhibition the historical evolution of rum in Dominican history. The route is made by safe and comfortable illuminated roads. The tour will continue east to Casa de Campo to enter the village of Altos de Chavón artists. Chavón is built on a river cliff with an amphitheater, shops and restaurants. There we will taste our typical Dominican lunch. After lunch we will depart to the beautiful and calm water public beach Bayahibe lagoon 30 minutes away.
