The uniqueness of the tour of the colonial and modern city combined will show the city's modern and emblematic sites, its Fair fruit market, main avenues, art gallery, and shopping malls.
The tour will show and interpret 500 years of wealth from the first European city established in America, the actions of the Colon family, the places of the conquerors of the first European urban society in America, their new American lords and the builders of its nascent main buildings, the initial administrative and architectural bases of an entire continent. We will visit the first vice regal palace in America and the Museum of the Royal Houses, seat of the European American government.
Along with a train tour around the entire Colonial Zone and some free shopping time in the Plaza Conde.

A beautiful cultural day. The first stop will be in the historic center of Barceló rum opened in 2012. The rum and its intrinsic modern Dominican history are clearly shown to interested visitors near the famous sugarcane fields of San Pedro de Macorís. The tour will continue east to the house of the conqueror Juan Ponce de León, built between 1505-06, and center of agricultural production feeder of the first colonizers of Puerto Rico.

24 km from there, in Higüey, we will taste typical food with the always Santo Domingo coffee. Within walking distance are the churches of San Dionisio, completed in 1572 by the fifth grandfather of the liberator Simón Bolívar, and the voluminous modern Basilica of the Virgin, our next stops. Next to the last one, the Museum of the Virgin, opened in 2012, with the vows to the Virgin. This religious trio around the figure of the Virgin of Altagracia in Higüey testifies to the oldest Marian pilgrimage destination in America since the first decade of the 16th century.

The mills are located in the rural town of Nigua, less than an hour west of the great hotels of Santo Domingo. There are the sugar mills of Diego Caballero and Juan Oyarzabal, both on the tentative list of UNESCO's cultural heritage.

While exploring the current semi-rural environment near the capital, the oldest sugar mill on the continent established in the 1510s will appear in the middle of nowhere. There, the most advanced hydraulic technology of the time brought from the Canary Islands was developed to generate the new riches of America after the gold cycle. The second mill was built with the most advanced technology at the end of the 18th century under the hand of Juan Oyarzabal in the French productive system, a mill where a slave rebellion occurred in 1796. You will know the ways of life of the slaves and the beginning of the formation of the subsequent Dominican peasant and livestock society. Nearby there is the house of sad memory of Ramfis Trujillo, son of the dictator Rafael Trujillo, evocative of the luxury past he once had and where history was written in blood when Ramfis took revenge on the heroes who murdered his father in 1961.
